1, to be flame retardant wood is also dry or wet
The moisture content of the wood to be flame retardant is an important factor affecting the quality of wood flame retardant. Because the dry wood into the flame retardant pool is often easier to absorb the flame retardant liquid, and the amount of wood to absorb the flame retardant liquid directly affects the quality of wood, the absorption of the oxygen index and flame retardant wood depth is proportional to the relationship. The more the wood absorbs the flame retardant liquid, the better the flame retardant performance of the wood, the higher the oxygen index, and the deeper the flame retardant depth. However, many enterprises believe that wood will be soaked with flame retardant liquid when it is flame retardant anyway, so the high and low moisture content of wood does not matter much. The wood to be flame retardant is generally not dried, and some enterprises even carry out flame retardant treatment on the wet square wood that has just been sawed. Who do not know the moisture content of wood will affect the quality of flame retardant, resulting in flame retardant wood flame retardant quality instability. According to the test, under the same flame retardant conditions, wood with a moisture content of less than 15% can increase the oxygen index by more than 5 and the flame retardant depth by more than 3mm compared with wood with a moisture content of more than 40%.
2, the first flame retardant after water and then wood
In the process of flame retardant, most manufacturers use the order of loading wood → adding flame retardant → adding water → starting flame retardant. Generally speaking, wood is the largest water absorption at the beginning, and the use of this process often causes wood to absorb very low concentration of flame retardant liquid. In this way, in the process of wood flame retardant, the concentration of flame retardant liquid absorbed by wood from low concentration to normal concentration is also needed, which directly affects the dry salt absorption and absorption speed of wood, thus affecting the flame retardant effect. The sequence of adding flame retardant → adding water → loading wood → starting flame retardant is adopted. The wood absorbs the standard concentration of flame retardant liquid at the beginning, thus avoiding the process of excessive flame retardant liquid absorbed by wood from low concentration to normal concentration, thus improving the flame retardant quality. If the enterprise has the conditions, the flame retardant can be formulated into a specified concentration of flame retardant liquid and then added to the flame retardant pool, the flame retardant quality will be better.
